Adrift on a Painted Sea is an autobiographical comic about my mum’s love of the sea and how that passion inspired her artistic practice. I use her paintings as part of the narrative in a collaborative way - integrating her art with my illustrations - to tell the story of our family and to explore my feelings of grief after she passed away.
