The Great North Wood is my first graphic novel, published by Avery Hill Publishing in 2018. It’s about an ancient woodland that once covered what is now south-east London. Some fragments of the forest remain (Sydenham Hill Wood, for example), and traces of the past can be read in place names (such as Forest Hill and Honour Oak).
